After a fair hiatus since any original music from the NY MC, Mickey Factz has returned with an alter ego (of sorts) in tow. Mickey Factz takes up the role of Mickey MauSe an 80s art star rising from the worlds of graffiti and photography (he likes to shoot naked girls) to end up hanging with the likes of Basquiat, Warhol and more. It’s certainly refreshing to see artists take risks on concept albums and it certainly provides Mickey with a broad canvas with which to show off his song writing talents although I wouldn’t be surprised if most people reach for the ‘skip’ button when reaching the interludes after having heard them once.
