A university in USA has introduced a summer subject called ‘The Sociology of Miley Cyrus: Race, Class, Gender, and Media’. Skidmore College is the first university in the world to offer a subject revolving around the twerking mess that is Miley Cyrus.

Professor Carolyn Chernoff, who is teaching the subject, claims that the subject will analyse “aspects of intersectional identities and media representation”. So, does this mean if I strip down to my tighty-whities, stick my tongue out as if to lick a never-ending, invisible ice-cream, and try to be the gangsta that my little Sri Lankan-self is definitely not, I’ll have a uni subject dedicated to me too?

For those of you who are fortunate to have access to the internet, or are not living under a rock, you’d already know all there is to know about Miley Cyrus. Wasting your college funds on a subject centralised around an ex-Disney clone, sounds like a massive waste of money to me. Unless you adore her.
