The Fader reports Drake has confirmed his involvement in the production of Aaliyah’s upcoming posthumous album, following the release of her latest single, Enough Said, which the rapper also features on. Drake and Noah “40” Shebib will be collaborating on the singer’s album, which is set to be released before the end of the year. Aaliyah’s cousin Jomo Hankerson has confirmed that both Timbaland and Missy Elliot will be involved on at least a few tracks on the record.

There is still some contention over who will be releasing it, though it’s likely family-run Blackground Records will be the frontrunner. There are also questions over whether the R&B songstress’ family supports the move. A spokesman for Blackground records has said “it’s family stuff that we’re working through now, but Aaliyah’s mother wanted us to do this.” One thing’s for sure, Aaliyah fans worldwide will be on the edge of their seats awaiting this release.
