The nominations are in for the seventh annual BET Hip-Hop Awards, set to air October 9th.

Kanye West’s odds are looking good, despite not having put out a solo album since 2010. He’s clocked up an impressive 17 nominations in total, including Hustler of the Year, Lyricist of the Year and Producer of the Year. Last year he won the award for CD of the Year for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Close behind in the nominations was 2 Chainz, who clocked up 13 nominations including MVP of the Year – the award for Hip-Hop’s most valuable player. In the category that considers swag, artistry and overall influence in the game 2 Chainz competes against J.Cole, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, and all rounder Kanye West.

Drake is next in line, with 11 nominations.

Other categories include Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse for lyrical genius, Best Rookie for newcomers, Hustler of the Year for contribution to hip-hop culture as a whole, and Made-You-Look Award for best hip-hop style.
