Out here in Australia, Jersey club is catching heat as much as it’s copping shade. For New Jersey born and raised DJ Sliink, it’s more than just another SoundCloud buzz genre: his sound incorporates Jersey influence, all mixed up with sounds adopted from the Baltimore and Philadelphia club scenes. DJ Sliink has collaborated with artists such as Flosstradamus, DJ Hoodboi and Trippy Turtle and is a member of the notorious Brick Bandits. He will be touring Australia with his Brick Bandits homie Dirty South Joe, starting tomorrow at Laundry Bar in Melbourne.

The worst thing is… You don’t really get to see your family much and you’re always washing clothes.

My perfect gig would involve… Fans throwing pecan rolls, Lil Jon or Fatman Scoop on the mic and Rihanna as my date, and you know…

The first gig I went to was… Dj Tameil at the YMCA in Plainfield, New Jersey.

The most important thing on my rider is… My Hennessy. That’s like my special juice.

My hangover cure is… Any type of citrus drink and lots of water.
