Weekly updates

Melbourne brothers, Petera and Phillip, dive head first into the production game with their upcoming trap/rap instrumental release, Turnt Up, on the Scattermusic label and launching this week at Cant Say. We caught up with the boys to get the lowdown on the inspiration behind the EP, why it came about and who they can picture listening to it…

My name is… SWISHER.

I live in… Melbourne.

My EP is called… Turnt Up (shout out to the Scattermusic clique for the release).

The EP came about because… we thought it was time to enter the world of production.

Some of the things that inspired it are… 808s, weed and weird noises.

Its cover art looks like… a dude getting turnt arrrp (shout out to Paz for the artwork)!

My favourite track is… Pyrokeet.

The person I can imagine listening to it is… Jesus.

The hardest thing about making this EP was… coming up with a decision on what tracks we were going to use for the EP.

And the best thing was… coming up with the right tracks for the EP? Lol.

My favourite mixtape would include… everything and anything

The gig I must see before I die would be… TNGHT live

My most prized ‘music’ possession is… our inner musician lol

When I’m not making music I… am picking up boxes (one half of SWISHER) and going to high school (other half of SWISHER)

The last thing I downloaded was… porn.

The next project I’m working on is… remix and collab work.

To launch Turnt Up, Scattermusic will be holding a very special label party at Can’t Say this Friday. Details on the Facebook Event Page.

Get a taste of Turnt Up below before its official release next week, and follow the boys on Facebook for their latest news.
