Overcoming whatever sort of mid-life crisis he endured a few years back, it’s fair to say that Snoop Dogg is back to his old self again. In the new video for ‘Kush Ups’, Snoop is flaunting what Snoop flaunts best—weed, women, and Wiz Khalifa—and there’s really not much more you could ask for. Suited up and spitting with his long-time collaborator, this iteration is a far cry from the Snoop Lion and Snoopzilla facades which managed to surprise/confuse the fuck out of everyone a few years ago.

A spruced-up Lamborghini sets the backdrop for this clip which is the most poised Snoop has sounded in years. It’s not unfamiliar territory for either Wiz or the main man himself, but the jumpy camera shots, scantily-clad ladies, and pulsating trap beats are sure to appease any long-term devoted fans who may have been scared off by the reggae beats and Miley Cyrus features of yesteryear.

Snoop’s new record Cool Aid drops next month via Doggystyle, but ‘Kush Ups’ is just the right amount of laid-back hedonism to speed up the wait.
