It’s not like I’d ever presume that anyone has ever not seen a music or two with the sound switched off, or with different sound playing in the background, or something like that… but there’s this weird guy called Mario Wienerroither who has taken it upon himself to start uploading music videos without music to YouTube.

So the videos have sound… just not any of the music. Watching Jamiroquai dance around with just the sound of his feet, or Freddy Mercury vacuuming, or the old guy from the smells like teen spirit clip and the sound of him wringing out his mop isn’t just weird…its deeply funny. Its a strange and wonderful idea that highlights the depth of sound production, the importance of multi-track recording and Mario’s unique sense of humor.
