Recently this photo appeared, which claims to show the US President’s 16 year old daughter, Malia Obama repping a Pro Era tshirt.

The image above was used as a posted on Pro Era’s Instagram with the caption “Malia Obama rocking that classic Pro Era tee! | Make sure you get your official Pro Era gear from theproera.com!”

Considering how controlled the social media use of the Obama family is, the emergence of this image captured the imaginations across the internet. Some claiming that the image is a stunt by New Era, who just happened to find someone who looks exactly the same as Malia Obama.

Despite speculation that this image is of some kind of amazing doppelganger, Joey Bada$$’s people told Gawker that the image came from “a mutual friend of Malia and the pro era member.” (sic.)

The White House has yet to say anything about the picture, but maybe it will lead to a loosening of the social media reins for the oldest Obama child.
