King of remixes, Tyler, the Creator has once again given new life to a popular track. Zayn Malik’s ‘Pillow Talk’ has had a serious synth makeover, with its once steady, sultry sound being totally reworked. Featuring some well-timed finger snapping and a hypnotic, electronic beat, at points the remix pauses and solely focuses on a few singular notes, the minimal sounds hooking you back in again for the next drop. The track hasn’t been overproduced, Zayn’s voice is still majorly showcased, and Tyler’s voice only occasionally makes an appearance as he echoes “pillow talk”.

However, it is Tyler’s accompanying video that might just be the highlight. Decked out in his own label’s fluoro yellow clothing, Tyler passionately lip-syncs and dances around with inanimate objects, proving that this jam is one to get down to. Apparently Tyler made the track back in March, which makes us wonder what else is hidden deep in the files of his laptop.

Last year, Tyler made a hint at a possible future collab with the ex-One Directioner, but Tyler tweeted that Zayn “flaked on studio sessions twice”. Hopefully we’ll see more from them in the future, but for now this will have to satisfy our Zayn x Tyler fixation.
