adidas Originals‘ ‘Unite All Originals’ project is underway. It’s all about creating original collaborative works, and The Three Stripes have brought together a wide range of talent from music, art and style. With creatives ranging from London craftmakers and Atlanta trap lords to Brazilian street artists and Chinese 3D designers, the mashups are sure to be a breath of fresh air. To celebrate the creative collision, we’re putting together a series of posts that give you some background on each of the artists involved in the initiative. Stay tuned for coverage on more releases from the project as they happen.

In this ‘Unite All Originals’ instalment, London artistic collective Stooki have teamed up with Atlanta based production duo Heroes x Villains to produce together a new track as part of the adidas Originals’ ‘Unite All Originals’ campaign. The track, entitled Today (which you can download for free here or stream it here) features vocals from Atlanta’s own Rome Fortune and fuses sounds captured in the Stooki jewellery studio together with Heroes x Villains’ heavy-hitting trapstep. The video above gives a bit of background on the collision, and for more collisions of art and style, jump into the adidas collider and experience it yourself.

Heroes x Villains

Heroes x Villains is the dynamic production duo made up of Daniel Disaster and Pete Heartless. Straight outta Atlanta, the trap music party-starters have been at the forefront of the movement since its inception. With roots in hardcore punk and an appreciation for Southern rap music, the pair are notorious for blowing speakers with bludgeoning bass and warbling electro in their chaotic DJ sets. Along the way, Heroes x Villains have been creatively connected with the from likes of Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame and Lil Wayne to Diplo and dubstep juggernaut Skrillex. Dropping their debut EP appropriately titled Run The Trap last year, bass fiends worldwide are eagerly anticipating their forthcoming Octane mixtape. Whether or not you can decide if it’s music to fight or strip to, you can be sure that the Atlantic duo will continue to play a pivotal force in trap music’s tilt at dancefloor domination.

Stooki

Born out of the UK, Stooki is an independent jewellery and apparel label founded by three multidisciplinary craft makers, Luke Hippolyte (Sound & Graphic Designer), Nadia Abbas (Jewellery Technologist) and Quincey Cassell Williams (Creative Strategist). Marrying hood rich jewellery pieces with garments and graphic art, Stooki channel their philosophy of sound, vision and play into their work. To date, the London collective have teamed with the likes of Red Bull, the Tate, the V&A, MTV and Nintendo on artistic interventions for the Stooki community.
