Up-and-coming New York singer Boyslashfriend has unleashed another smooth single and we’ve got your first look of its music video. ‘Low Key’ is a slow-burning, almost-acoustic single, and deals with the all too familiar emotions of unreciprocated love. Yearning, heartbreak, disappointment – all are expressed pretty perfectly with just the minimal guitar melody and the R&B singer’s heartfelt vocals.

The visual treatment is just as minimal and brooding—directed by Jeff Tan—shot in one take and featuring Boyslashfriend performing the track in a near-empty room, save for a strategically placed plant and his guitarist MNTN. The single is the title track of the artist’s debut album, which is available now via Feel Up Records.
