Freshly dug up from YouTube’s stock of entertaining time-wasters is a video of Ab-Soul freestyling before he was signed to Top Dawg Entertainment.

The ten-minute video uploaded in 2009 features Ab-Soul freestyling, filmed with rows of cheap packaged headphones and an Obama t-shirt and cap behind him.

The rapper proclaims, “I guess I need to spit something for promotional use.” This is followed by two minutes of him rapping pretty seamlessly. Watch above.
