Part two of Noisey‘s ‘Welcome to Chiraq’, eight-part documentary series, begins where part one left off, with Thomas Morton following Chief Keef and crew to New York. Still exploring the Chicago drill music scene and life in the city with the highest murder rate in America, episode two delves into the MGS and Global Gangstas Entertainment, two gangs-turned-rap-groups, who are trying to get off the streets.

With a shoutout to producer Fredo Santana, Glory Boyz Entertainment’s “drill music Mr Miyagi”, this episode looks into the social and cultural challenges facing boys like breakout star Yung Trell, from police animosity, support from their families and even trying to shed the dreaded Chiraq ‘Chief Keef’ gangster image used to define them. This episode finishes off with Global Gangstas members and their opposed opinions of the gun toting bravado of Chief Keef and Chiraq rappers alike.
