Drawing strong comparisons to M.I.A., Bulgarian, Berlin-based, vocalist and songwriter DENA is forging her own path with her thick accent and her unapologetic and sometimes hilarious subject matter.

It’s all evidenced in this latest video for Guest List. Filmed in Bulgaria, it’s hard to take her seriously riding a horse and cart in an aluminium foil jacket with lines like “Are you on the guest list? Welcome to the club… Uh, I think I’m not… Get the fuck out.”

And yet it still works. The video doesn’t feature ex–Das Racist man Kool A.D.‘s verse, so we’ve included the full song below. Expect to hear more DENA soon as her debut album is still in the works.
