Street artist Jay Shells has embarked on a new project called Rap Quotes and it’s literally that. The New York native has taken it upon himself to let the people know what corner they’re walkin’ on by screwing up ‘street signs’ with rap lyrics referencing that exact corner. There has been so many dope tracks referencing NY street corners over the years and I’m with Jay – the people need to understand the history! These aren’t just any street corners – just ask Big Daddy Kane and GZA to name a few. Much respect.
