A ‘God’ he may be, but Kanye West is still, most definitely, human. This throwback from 2003 is testament to that but also proves how far he’s come because of his unfaltering focus on progression. Captured at the 2nd Annual Dynamic Producer Conference, Louis Vuitton don, backpack-rap era Yeezy and pre-Chrissy Teigen John Legend bust out a raw version of what would soon become ‘Gold Digger’. This rendition is also void of the Ray Charles-sampled hook but it’s always nice to see Kanye in the infancy of his career, when he was eager and hopeful and still as arrogant as he is today.
