Hip-hop duo Mobb Deep finally dropped their highly-awaited eighth studio album The Infamous Mobb Deep yesterday, marking 20 years since the completion of their game-changing breakout LP The Infamous.

Consisting of Havoc and Prodigy, the Queensbridge rappers’ latest features one disk with new tracks and a second with over 10 unreleased recordings from that same studio session for The Infamous back in 1994, including unheard verses from Nas, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah.

In their chat to Peter Rosenberg on Hot 97fm they talk about the release of their new LP, Prodigy’s time in prison and gives special mention to The Alchemist.

And, for Mobb Deep fans who have been waiting for this through news of their split and reunion, rest assured this is not the end of their work together. “We’re definitely not done yet,” Prodigy says in the interview. “We got so much energy in life and inner creativity.”
