On the eve of last years Summer Jam beef between Hot 97 presenter Peter Rosenberg and Nicki Minaj comes this video with the two personalities coming to a head. Giving an incredibly frank interview about the “beef,” commercialism in Hip Hop, female MC’s and what lies ahead in the music game.

Highlights include Rosenberg at one point claiming that Minaj is bigger than Lauren Hill (?!) and how their issue wasn’t with her success but that they were losing one of the greatest female MC’s to the pop-world dark side. The interview is long at just under 30 minutes but it gives great insight into the rap game, why Nicki moved into that Pop sound and what we can expect for the future.
