Hot on the heels of the release of Jamie xx’s brilliant album In Colour, Melbourne crooner Oscar Key Sung has been placed in a precarious position – tasked with covering a standout track from the LP entitled ‘Loud Places’, a song that originally featured the dreamy vocals of Jamie’s xx compadre Romy Madley. In the video, Oscar briefly discusses his penchant for imitating and performing as R&B innovator Craig David (of course), before jumping into a cover that doesn’t stray too far from the source material melodically, but takes on a different kind of vulnerability with a male vocalist handling the lyrics.
