Remi takes it back to basics with the latest visuals to his track Saggin, off his F.Y.G mixtape. Infusing flavours of soul and blues into his hip-hop grounding, the Melbourne-based MC lays down impressive bars (which are just as impressive as his moves) and shows us the true meaning of F.Y.G., an acronym for “Fuck Your Genre.” The mixtape intends to showcase Remi’s appreciation for all genres, “from Radiohead to Common, D’angelo to Jeff Buckley, J Dilla to early Bloc Party,” and the fact there is no restriction when it comes to his musical taste.

Set on stage in black and white and backed by a brassy big band, the video sees an obvious migration from Remi‘s youthful new kid on the block status to a more sophisticated, mature and refined artist. Watch the video above, and if you’re digging the track, download it here.
