It really would be a travesty to spend any extended period of time working or studying in Europe without taking advantage of the close proximity of some of the most exciting places on earth. William McMichael knew not to waste any spare time during his study year in Barcelona, especially when his mates came to visit from Sydney during the northern summer. What eventuated was a road trip spanning three months, 20 rolls of film, and seven countries.
