The Converse One Star has always been a sneaker for the dynamic. In the ’70s it was for basketballers who wanted to shake things up and in the ’90s it was for skaters who lived outside of everyone’s expectations. In this style editorial we wanted to reference those iconic One Star moments of the ’70s and ’90s but also how they influenced modern style. To keep things interesting we decided to shoot our friends instead of models, which is how we ended up hanging out with rappers Remi and Baro, stylist Thalea Michos-Vellis, and photographer Alex Drewniak. It was fun and—dare we even say—a little dynamic.
This style editorial was created in partnership with Converse to celebrate the release of the One Star, available now.
