More items from the recently announced A Bathing Ape, Undefeated collaboration with the nod to West Coast surf culture as represented in their collaborative tee drop further embraced by the lifestyle brands. The collection utilises two very distinct Hawaiin print yardages across a range of cut and sew pieces such as short sleeved Hawaiian shirts, swimming trunks, bucket caps and tote bags.

Interestingly the collection also includes the two prints applied to skateboards, these do work well but one would hope we’ll get to see these patterns or other graphics from the collection applied to more relevant products that relate to the direction of the collection. For instance a cruiser skateboard would of worked well as these board shapes are more reminiscent of the style that was prevalent during the 70s and popularised by surfers on the West Coast at the time, both for bombing hills and wrecking pools. Other items I’d love to see would be a surf wax and obviously a surfboard. Here’s hoping.
