Blending iconic artwork and nuggets of pop culture has gained some traction lately– anyone with Photoshop and a copy of ‘Watch the Throne,’ probably has a few folders and a cover photo worth of paintings superimposed with some Yeezy lyrics that loosely reference them (see also: ‘What historical figures would look like dressed in streetwear,’ dropping soon on this website probably).

Anyway, when you read this headline, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d seen this one before, but you haven’t. Myles Thompson ingeniously works motives from instantly recognizable pieces onto sneaker silhouettes which have become equally identifiable in modern culture. Thompson bases his choices on a number of factors, exploring new colour schemes or attempting to replicate iconic palettes and drawing on pop-cultural cues (he assigned Napoleon a pair of Air Yeezys, for obvious reasons). At this point, his designs are conceptual, which is frustrating if you’re trying to cop that tight Jordan X Dali collab.

Can anyone link me Yung Sick Bacchus’ SoundCloud tho?
