Despite the Japanese designer’s hefty resume of creative achievments, nothing has defined Kazuki Kuraishi’s presence in the fashion industry more than his collaboration with adidas Originals. The 2013 Spring/Summer collection, dubbed  ‘Retrograde Resistance 84-Lab’, offers a range of sportswear apparel and footwear that unites Adidas’ athletic style with Kuraishi’s streetwear designs. The collection sees an obvious salute to traditional sports such as soccer, polo and equestrian, while incorporating outdoor functionality of hunting and mountaineering that ensures both ‘style’ and ‘practical’ boxes are ticked.
