Fall 2012: Akomplice

Akomplice deliver a very raw and very real insight into American politics for their latest lookbook

Akomplice produces their Fall 2012 lookbook as a photo story of the heated street scene during the DNC (Democratic National Convention) in Charlotte, North Carolina. They used the politically charged setting as the backdrop for their Fall lookbook, and what they encountered was an extreme array of viewpoints rarely covered by mainstream media.

“I couldn’t believe the crazy stuff we saw, and what’s even crazier is the news doesn’t give it a three second clip,  I guess they don’t want the people to realise what’s happening” says Akomplice co-founder Patrick Liberty.

The range from Akomplice includes an offering of jackets, corduroy denim varsities, old style baseball hats, tees, belts, snapbacks, and crewnecks, all captured amid the intense nature of American politics. Akomplice cohorts include: owners of Akomplice, members of North Carolina based skate-shop Black Sheep, and DJ duo Mr. Invisible, who interspersed themselves among the frenzied streets outside of the convention. You can find the Fall collection online at Akomplice and PYS, or any of the AK retailers.
