For our new column Haute Thing, we’ve enlisted the advice of some stylin’ babes from the land of fashion blogging to fill us in on what just what they wanna see you draped in and more importantly, what they don’t. First up is Yuka of Pretty in Leather fame.

Describe the style you like on guys… Laid back yet polished.

What are some things guys should just never wear? Crocs, nail polish, undergarments/socks with holes.

What are some current trends that you think guys need to ditch? Micro-shorts.

What are some things, in your opinion, that never get old in men’s fashion? Tailored separates. Minimalism.

What do you think it says about a guy if he’s always in sneakers? He’s probably someone who is always on the go.

You meet a hot guy with bad dress sense. Deal breaker? No, clothes aren’t everything. But he would get brownie points if he was up for letting me give him a makeover.

Guy dresses really well, but still lives with his parents. Deal breaker? No, as long as he plans on living on his own in the near future, it’s okay.

Guy spends more money on clothes than you do. Deal breaker? No, so long as he’s not spending my money.

Who is a guy who you think personifies good style? I’m a big fan of Pelayo Diaz’s personal style. I also really love Ryan Gosling’s style.

Groomed guys or scruffy guys, who do you prefer? Scruffy.

Every guy should own a good… man bag.

Camo print is… great when done right.

Guys who wear caps are… great.

On a first date a guy should wear… something that makes a good first impression and shows his personality.

Guys who wear luxury brands are… probably into fashion.

Graphic tshirts on guys are… okay as long as they are not bejeweled.

Beards on guys are…. Attractive.

Tattoos on guys are… great.
