Kate Upton kicked off her modelling career after she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2012, donning a skimpy bikini and casually always having one hand behind her head. All-in-all, that whole situation is a bit high-fashion suicide (especially the cheesy awkward beach poses), but somehow she came out the other end alive… and thriving.

She managed to land herself a US Vogue cover shot by highly sought after fashion photographer, Mario Testino, who has shot the likes of Kate Moss, Madonna and Princess Diana. As well as appearing on the covers of Vogue Italia, Cosmopolitan and French ELLE amongst many others, she was chosen as cover girl for Vanity Fair‘s 100th anniversary issue, shot by none other than Annie Leibovitz. She’s only 21 and she’s kind of a big deal. So it’s not a huge surprise that she also snatched up the cover of the upcoming June issue of British Vogue.

Shot for the second time by Mario Testino, Kate Upton shows off her curves in a beautiful 50s style bikini while relaxing on the beach in the Caribbean. What a life! The full photo set will be available to view when British Vogue hits the stands on May 5th.
