Fans of the Jack Purcell rejoice, Converse is gracing us with a brand new iteration of the sneaker. The Jack Purcell Signature is an update on the classic silhouette that’s turning 80 this year but still remains a menswear staple.

This modern expression of the sneaker has maintained its classic form, but packs no fewer than 18 new features that bestow the kicks with unprecedented levels of technology and versatility.

Dipping into Nike Air tech, the sneaker’s Ortholite footbed is constructed from an open weave for breathability. Meanwhile, the winged tongue and duck canvas eyerow create a seamless inner forefoot, boosting durability.

And that’s just scratching the surface of the new hardware that’s being put to use in the time-honoured silhouette.

The Converse Jack Purcell Signature is available in Black and White from the Melbourne Central Converse store and other select retailers on February 12, with an RRP of $130.
