Being a female sneakerhead can be a little frustrating at times. Especially if, like me, you have small feet and are not a fan of bubblegum pink or ‘baby blue’ colour schemes. Fortunately, the landscape of women’s footwear has changed in the last few years, with a departure from cutesy colourways and a new emphasis on the balance between performance and high fashion. The latest effort from Nike sees the continued collaboration with leading English retailer Liberty on the wedge-heeled Dunk Sky High and Free 2.0 running shoe, covering the fashion-conscious and sports-minded alike. Featuring a colourful confetti-like print, both silhouettes incorporate a white Swoosh and lining, with contrasting trim. Now I would probably be more inclined to cop the Frees in this (or any) instance, but I must admit, I would seriously consider rocking the Dunk wedges from this collection as well. Both styles are now available at selected Nike Sportswear retailers.
