It’s an exciting time for the British-born, Melbourne-bred brand Handsom. The brainchild of designer couple Henry Allum and Sam Rush, the duo are currently eyeing off opening a second store in the CBD having only just cut the rope on their flagship store on Gertrude Street in 2012. In this context, Allum and Rush couldn’t have picked a better time to release their most refined, inspired collection to date.

Handsom’s A/W 2014 lookbook sees the label’s signature sporty-meets-preppy take on streetwear sharpened to its finest point. Marrying these two opposite aesthetics in perfect harmony, Allum and Rush’s silhouttes see smart printed button-up shirts dressed up with chinos and woolen pants, then styled athletically with a pair New Balance sneakers and luxe, tailored outerwear (the goose-down vest and jacket being a highlight) and a casual sweater. It’s an extremely accessible dress code for today’s Melburnian, and there’s bound to be a few key pieces here for everyone no matter where you tend to fall on the sporty-to-preppy scale.

Check out the full lookbook above, and you can shop the first release from the collection at Handsom’s online store.
