For me, Umbro brings about some pretty nostalgic vibes of my dad’s Saturday soccer matches, with the smell of Deep Heat and fresh grass strong in the air. The kit of choice was Umbro and, almost 30 years later, it looks like the heritage English sportswear label is making its way into the millennial mindset. Because aren’t they all?

Courtesy of Virgil Abloh’s Off-White fashion label, Umbro have made their way back into the spotlight, with a special collaborative sneaker being debuted during the brand’s Paris Fashion Week runway show. The all-white sneaker has some decidedly Dad vibes, which is probably highly relevant in this case, with the heavily stitched premium leather upper sitting atop a chucky white midsole. Co-branding comes via the Umbro logo stitched on the side and the Off-White name embroidered on the heel tab. Just in case somebody has to ask “What are those?”
