This year the iconic PUMA Suede celebrates its 45th Anniversary. We’ve toasted the Suede with a party and now it’s handing us our proverbial lolly bag in the form of the very impressive Suede Sapphire release. Named after its debut colour way and the anniversary precious stone, the Suede Sapphire is available November 8th, with only 450 exclusive pairs available globally.
Not just a pretty face, the craftsmanship of the Suede Sapphire is also next level. Carefully designed and crafted at PUMA’s Japanese factory, where specialised artisan footwear-making techniques are used to construct product, the Sapphire is made of customized brushed suede leather and lined with premium calfskin. Marked with a laser-cut ‘Sapphire’ emblem on the heel counter and a Made in Japan leather badge on the back of the tongue, the tongue also features an added symbol of early mining tools just below the brand’s name. Each of the limited edition, 450 custom designed pairs comes complete with a special leather sapphire case and is packaged in the original PUMA green box.
