Shayne Oliver came to the 2015 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards yesterday dressed like he was ready to win an award for menswear and that’s exactly what he managed to do. Oliver, best known as the creator of cult brand ‘Hood by Air’, arrived at the New York Award ceremony with model Binx Walton by his side while clad in a HBA suit, trademark lock and chain necklace, and a stencilled logo on the back of his head. Oliver was crowned with the Swarovski Award for Menswear, beating competitors including Ovadia & Sons and Orley. He joins 2015 Menswear Designer of the Year winner Tom Ford and ‘Fashion Icon’ Pharrell as winners in male fashion at the award ceremony.
