With The Australian Open in our hometown at the moment, the city is in its yearly tennis extravaganza mode. While the event itself is the biggest on the map, the surrounding parties are where all the action off the courts is happening. Stella McCartney and adidas decided to launch their most recent range over the weekend in the world’s first mirrored tennis court. Measuring at 11.4m long, 8.5m wide and 3m high, the one of a kind tennis court created a living kaleidoscope of moving reflections, giving the impression that you could be playing up to four players at once. The range itself is being worn by a number of players during the 2013 Grand Slams, making it one of the leading designs for players for both aesthetics and athletic functionality. Explaining the range, McCartney says “Tennis really is one of the sport disciplines I design that can really house feminine styles with high performance. We achieve this with our use of colour and cut, as well as using the latest technology”.
