As a slightly vertically challenged dude, I suffer from chronic boot envy. Every time I see a pair of decent moc toe boots I inevitably get excited and try them on, before I remember that I look a six year old wearing his dad’s gumboots. Also, literally nothing I do in my day-to-day requires work boots – unless sitting in front of a laptop for 8 hours a day shotgunning sugar free Red Bull requires serious ankle support that I’m unaware of.

Still, when Red Wing went ahead and released a heritage edition of their iconic 875 and 877 model that features the original leather and hardware that initially established the brand as a world leader in footwear, I felt that familiar pull again.
