Everyone has a pair of shoes that inadvertently becomes the main staple base for winter outfits. You kick them off at the door, switch out of soaked socks into comfy ones, and by the time you have to drag yourself outside again later, the same pair of shoes go on. You know what we’re talking about, it’s that pair that were maybe still in good nick at the start of Autumn but progressively get thrashed as it gets colder and colder. Some people are organised enough to plan their winter-go-to-kicks, and the good people from Converse are definitely here to help out the rest of us still struggling.

Streetwear label Wacko Maria has teamed up with Converse once again to deliver a clean-cut collab that puts the finishing touch on pretty much any winter outfit you have. In fact, we’re willing to take a bet that this would go with all your clothes as the All Star J Hi style matches perfectly to the Japanese brand’s favoured black and white aesthetic. As far as the branding goes, we’re talking a simple slogan feature, with the sides reading “GUILTY PARTIES”, which is enough to spice up the shoes without fear of going overboard.

Set to hit Wacko Maria stores and their site on July 9 at ¥10,000 JPY (approximately $130 AUD), these are ones to keep your eyes on if you’re looking to go a bit above the average on your staple shoe.
