In an attempt to seemingly remind you just how terrible fashion was in between the ’70s and now, Mode Studios have put together this video that quickly cycles a male model through significant periods in sartorial history. Beginning from the decidedly dapper 1915, it moves all the way through to current day, steadily decreasing pant size until we’re only left with the moose-knuckle producing denim constructions we have today.

We’re also reminded that the ’20s and the ’30s were the absolute dopest periods for fashion, while the ’50s apparently had everyone dressed exactly as The Fonz, barring only shark-jumping apparatus. The ’90s and early 2000s are particularly heinous, the latter of which is highlighted by the dominance of baggy faded jeans, awfully-collared printed Tarocash shirts and speed-dealer sunnies that violated the very definition of ‘fashionable’ only as recently as 10 years ago. Check out the rest of the looks, and feel deeply ashamed of all the eras that you’ve been a part of, by watching the video in the gallery above.
