A bunch of buzzcut, skinheads (well, not really) walked in Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy’s AW16 runway the other day. The collection was based on the theme ‘Save and Survive’, and the gloomy aura of the show held in a run down theatre really captured the ‘survival’ aspect.

It wouldn’t be Rubchinskiy without his signature tracksuit bottoms pulled awkwardly high around the models waste and Russian lettering on the garments. He did, however, have a creative twist to his norm. Dark palettes featured majority of the runway with the occasional splash of bright mustard and some sweatshirts even having two sets of cuffs. Punk, ’90s skate culture and skinheads are weaved perfectly together to form the collection.

Have a look at the smokey set and highlights of the runway above.
