Alife reemerged this spring/summer with a collection of tees promoting the brand’s love of dolla $igns, weed and NYC culture. But one T-shirt featuring chicks in ski masks tongue-kissing with their nipps out in some sort of east-coast-west-coast unity pose and another shirt featuring a hand holding a more-than-half-smoked blunt stick out amongst the rest. Both photos were taken by U.S.-based photographer Miller Rodriguez, otherwise known as P//retty Puke, who’s no stranger to making gritty, stark and memorable art.

Hypebeast caught up with P//retty Puke at his modest lair where he plays Puzzle Bobble on an old PlayStation and talks about his creative process which basically consists of getting stoned and drinking with women who have “real” body types while they recreate the most drugged-up and wasted nights of his life for the camera. By taking high-contrast photos of mysterious drug-users, naked indie chicks and stylish drunkards at night with sometimes-dark symbolism, it’s no surprise P//retty Puke is being compared to high-profile contemporaries like Terry Richardson so early in his career.
