Director and menswear enthusiast Aaron Christian, has created the hilarious parody ‘How I Dress’, based on the overwhelming seriousness surrounding style and the fashion industry.

Although Christian is “genuinely passionate” about fashion, the aim of the parody is to make fun of the industry’s sometimes ridiculousness and remind people that it’s important to take a step back and put themselves in the shoes of an outsider.

The first episode ‘Mr S. Wagger’ follows the life of S. Wagger, played by actor Michael Salami. Unlike other fashion films set in catwalk, ‘sartorial stylish’ environments, Wagger enthusiastically invites the audience into his street-style culture. Wagger narrates his style choices by explaining the precise techniques he uses to create ‘swagger’, including wearing double sweatpants, an adidas man-bag, and accessorising with glasses, a bucket hat, and designer belt.

Take a leaf out of S. Wagger’s book and watch the parody above. Prepare to be inspired.
