Whether you’re the ultimate Supreme stan or you’ve managed to casually cop a couple of pieces from the New York brand, it’s hard to escape the box logo. Streetwear, especially these days, often references designs from popular culture elements to create something similar or entirely new, and Supreme is the leader of the pack. And while you can always appreciate how these have been repurposed for the most recent collection, it’s always nice to see where things came from.

We took a closer look at some of these references previously but one particular Instagram account, supreme_copies, has taken it a step further. The account’s bio reads, “An archive and comparison page for the pieces Supreme has “copied” “paid homage to” or “referenced” of others,” although they’re not affiliated with the NY brand at all. The page posts photo comparisons and direct references of borrowed elements with full explanations to its 8,000 plus followers. With references from high fashion brands, film, television, artists, musicians and even food, the page is a pretty extensive cheat sheet in Supreme and general pop culture through the years.

Some commenters suggest that Supreme’s designs are unoriginal, whereas others say the brand is a genius for broadening their fans’ cultural references. For a glimpse at just some of their enlightening posts, have a scroll through our gallery above.
