To celebrate the much-discussed 20th anniversary of the Wu-Tang Clan’s debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), DC and the Wu have released a 20 year anniversary collection and a short film, Streets & Boards & Bees & Swords, which documents the parallels between the Wu-Tang’s meteoric rise and the rise of the NY skate scene and the DC company itself.

The video also serves as a nice little time capsule back to those days when skating was dominated by baggy pants and the concept of ‘street skating’ had only just begun. Pro skaters talking about how they were influenced by the Wu are intercut with the RZA discussing what led to the album, and how the concepts of Shaolin, Wu-Tang and swords were integrated into the group’s ethos.
