The National Gallery of Victoria have just announced that work from two of the world’s most famous artists Andy Warhol and Ai Weiwei will be coming to Victoria this summer.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald the exhibition is designed to examine the influence that Warhol’s work had on Ai by bringing together around 300 works from the artists. It will also include major commissions by Ai as well as many of his key works from the last 40 years of his practice.

The exhibition has been curated in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Museum, so we will get to see some of Warhol’s most famous works including, ‘Campbell’s Soup’, ‘Electric Chair’, ‘Mao’, ‘Elvis’ and ‘Flowers’.

Earlier today NGV posted an image to their Instagram revealing the dates of the exhibition, which will run from 11 December 2015 – 24 April 2016.
Ticket information for Andy Warhol/Ai Weiwei is available via the NGV website.
