Sydney-based photographer Jarryd Lynagh spent some time in the US a couple months back, first landing in New York (for the New York Art Book) before careening towards the Gulf of Mexico through North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. We’ve long been fans of Jarryd’s work, particularly his photographs of regional Australia, so we asked him to capture his time in the States too. “This series of images was made using an iPhone 5 and disposable cameras,” he wrote us during an email exchange. “The sequencing is non-chronological, with the images seeking to express nothing more than a brief stream of experiences in environments I had never been.”
