The Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris opened a new exhibition recently, The Political Line, focused on the ‘visual activism’ present in Keith Haring’s art. One of the most extensive Haring exhibitions to date, the retrospective is presented by Citizens of Humanity and part of a program to bring underprivileged youth to visit the museum. A program Haring would have approved of, being an advocate of pushing artistic expression early in childhood. Amongst the numerous art projects with kids that Haring undertook while he was alive, he was also a passionate advocate against racism and homophobia, choosing to display his ‘visual activism’ on subways and community spots to get his work maximum exposure.

A showing of Haring’s work The Ten Commandments at the art space Centquatre complements the 250+ artwork heavy exhibition, which both show until August 18.
