Following two sold out issues, This is the Same Ocean are set to drop their third release this December. If you haven’t come across it before, This is the Same Ocean is a Melbourne-based risograph photography journal that features a carefully-curated selection of photographers from all over the world. The truly beautiful publication has made appearances at MOMA PS1 for the New York Photo Book Fair, the Tokyo Art Book Fair, and the Independent Photography Festival in Melbourne. Again full of wonderfully engaging images, the 100+ page third installment changes things up by shying away from foreign contributors and instead showcasing the work of thirteen impressive Australian-based photographers.
Celebrating issue #3, a launch party will be held in Melbourne on December 20th at the newly opened arts and design cultural complex, Magic Johnston, in Collingwood, for all those (me!) who think that great art plus drinking equals a super solid night out.
