Graffiti has always had political implications, the act of writing on something without permission is inherently an act of defiance that is in itself political. The thing is the agenda that’s being pushed by most graff writers is a personal ego boost, they’re writing a name for self recognition.

In the city of Dortmund, Germany a new movement is taking place. The so called ‘Truther’ graffiti writers are putting aside their names and their egos in order to paint messages that are politically charged. From conspiracy theories regarding September 11, to Chemtrails, to criticism of NATO and the UN, these guys are getting up with an agenda.

The guys behind the Five Minutes video series payed the town a visit in order to investigate this new breed or writers. Regardless of your personal political stance, it’s certainly an interesting watch.
