Artist and friend of ACCLAIM Ian Strange continues to make big moves and will be taking his epic project SUBURBAN to New York this month. The exhibition will run from May 20-30 and it will be the first time Strange’s work will be exhibited in the US.

For those that aren’t familiar, Strange spent two years, (with the help of film crew and volunteers in Ohio, Detroit, Alabama, New Jersey, New York and New Hampshire) to create, photograph and film eight site-specific interventions incorporating suburban homes for the project. Previously, SUBURBAN had premiered in Melbourne, Australia at the National Gallery of Victoria, and now, the multi-faceted exhibition is presented in partnership with Standard Practice, a NYC-based arts organisation.

Check out the above trailer.
